Finance Minister Yoshihiko Noda lashed out Tuesday at Ichiro Ozawa, the former No. 2 in the Democratic Party of Japan who criticized the current DPJ leadership for rolling back some pledges ahead of the July 11 election.
Noda said at a news conference that Ozawa took the lead in creating the party's campaign platform before Naoto Kan became prime minister in early June.
