Retail sales rose at their slowest pace since January, the government reported Monday, in a sign that incentives to purchase cars and household appliances are fading.
Sales advanced 2.8 percent in May from a year earlier, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said. The gain was slower than the 4.8 percent median estimate in a survey of 14 economists.
