Japanese expatriates began voting Friday for the July 11 House of Councilors election at embassies and consulates in Australia, China and elsewhere in the world.
A total of 113,794 people were registered as of Wednesday as eligible voters residing overseas, according to the Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry.
