Nearly a third of the potential candidates for the Upper House election say they believe the consumption tax should be raised to around 10 percent, a survey showed Saturday.
The survey also found that likely Democratic Party of Japan candidates are sharply divided about how to relocate U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Futenma in Okinawa Prefecture.
