Jordan treaty in works to allow MHI, Areva nuke sales PDF Print E-mail

Japan and Jordan will start talks on a nuclear treaty this month, paving the way for Areva SA and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. to sell reactors as the Middle Eastern country plans its first atomic plant.
Talks for the bilateral agreement, which would allow Japanese companies to export nuclear technology, will be held Sunday in Amman, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday.
