A 15-year-old boy who in February was confined in the bathroom of his Tokyo home for 11 days by his mother and her boyfriend has told police they fed him only bread and plain noodles since last fall, investigative sources said Friday.
The Metropolitan Police Department turned over to prosecutors the same day their case of suspected physical abuse and neglect against the boy's mother, Mayumi Nakashima, 47, and her boyfriend, Teruhisa Kawasaki, 34.
