SAPPORO (Kyodo) The Sapporo High Court upheld on Tuesday a guilty verdict for a key staff member of Democratic Party of Japan lawmaker Chiyomi Kobayashi for campaign violations.
Lawyers for Hirokazu Yamamoto, 61, who was found guilty of promising hourly wages to people who campaigned for Kobayashi between May and August last year, said they plan to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
