One of the good reasons while choosing your CMS is the availability of external resources that help you customise your web's requirements. In this case, Joomla has an impressive list of free resources (non-commercial) which can make your web look more stylish or secure.

In this article we are going to explain the first of our favourite plugins for an enhanced design.2087_logoxtypo.gif

We like stylish quotes

This text above was made by using Xtypo, a free Joomla Plugin that contains an impressive array of CSS styling for any text in your article. In this case we typed in this current article the following:

xtypo

In case you wonder how to type { is by pressing ALT and writting 123

For } you can use ALT+125

Important: for laptop users use your Bl Num function, not the numbers in the line below the Function keys

You do not need to learn all the codes for the different formats.Once you install the Xtypo plugin, you will find the complete list of codes in the Back-end plugin manager. Most of us just copy and paste as text those codes. Try to avoid to paste the codes in formatted text as it will copy bold characters that do not work well with IE.

Remember: write the codes in plain text, no bold text

Also, as most of the good Plugins out there, the author made some space for your customization and practically you can change completely the appearance and colour scheme.
