Iran seeks backing on Turkey uranium deal PDF Print E-mail

TEHRAN (Kyodo) Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Saturday that his country will try to sway Japan to accept its plan to transport partially enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for nuclear fuel.
In an interview ahead of his visit to Tokyo from Sunday, Mottaki said he plans to explain the nuclear fuel swap deal it struck with Brazil and Turkey earlier this month and Tehran's notification to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
