Public support for Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama's Cabinet is down to 19.1 percent, according to the latest Kyodo News poll, following the announcement that Futenma air station will be relocated within Okinawa Prefecture.
In the poll conducted Saturday and Sunday by telephone, 51.2 percent of the respondents said Hatoyama should resign because he failed to resolve the base feud in the way he promised he would, while 44.4 percent said he doesn't need to resign.
